That cluster of stars to the bottom right is called Pleiades. To the naked eye, the cluster is incredibly bright and blue. “The cluster is dominated by hot blue and extremely luminous stars that have formed within the last 100 million years.” The moon is currently at 3% (maybe less!), so it’s a great time to look up at night馃寣猸愶笍

Most of the day we were enveloped in the clouds with small windows of visibility, but at night I opened my eyes to a brilliantly lit sky. All of us left the comfort of our warm sleeping bags and the remainder of the night was spent looking up.

This morning we woke up above the clouds. @nurkdurk snapped this awesome photo of our roomie on my camera, one of my favorites from the trip.

Where did the pink color come from? Is it "natural" lights from a city or post treatment (Photoshop)?

it’s (somewhat) natural. The vibrance is way up on the photo shared from IG because my phone dulls photos, but all I did in photoshop was bring out detail/adjust white balance to give it more blue and purple tones/contrast. Here is the one from my computer.
